History of the Club

The club started in August of 1990 when Don Mast, manager of Johnny’s Trailer Sales held a free camping weekend for his HI-LO Trailer customers. Thirty-five units met at Whispering Hills campground. Johnny’s paid the camping fee, paid for coffee and “goodies” on Saturday morning, paid for a catered dinner in the evening, and for entertainment. In 1991 Johnny’s Hi-Lo Club was chartered and held six campouts on the third weekend of each month, May through October. Several gifts were donated by Johnny’s for the club to raffle as a moneymaker activity. The August campout was still sponsored by Johnny’s through 1998. In 2000, Johnny retired and decided to liquidate the business. Members voted to change the name to The O-Hi-Lo Club and opened membership to anyone who owned a trailer made by the Hi-Lo company.
